Can A Hot Wheels Radar Gun Measure R/C Cars?

It depends,

I would imagine that a Hotwheels radar would measure in scale speed, becuase a top speed of a Hotwheels car would most likely be less than a human running.

Scale speed would multiply the speed of the car by what scale it is (I think they are 1:64) so if you put it on your RC car, you would get a false reading, as the RC car is much bigger.

Perhaps, you could find out what scale your RC car is, take a speed reading of the car using the Hotwheels radar, then divide it by the scale of the HW car, then multiply it by the scale of your RC car?

check the info on the radar gun box and see what the speed range is. also if you're planning on using it on hobby grade rc cars that go upwards of 50mph, a regular radar gun would be much more accurate. i didn't even know that hot wheels made a radar gun lol but if it uses the same technique to determine speed as a normal radar gun does, it should work.

I tried the HotWeels radar gun and found that it really doesn't have enough range. Beyond a few feet, nothing of model-car size will register.

A much better (although more expensive) option is one of the cheap Bushnel radar guns. I've posted a link to a review of these guns by a RC model website.
