Reply:The Shelby SuperCars Ultimate Aero became the fastest production car in the world when it set a new record of 257.41 mph. It actually could have gone faster but had to slow down due to the fact that it was approaching a corner. The car costs $600,000. So ask the shift manager at McDonalds if you can work some overtime.

There are several open road speed contests in the US, two of which are the pony express and the silver state challenge. You can get the results of the unlimited division, that might give you an idea of how they stack up in an unlimited speed contest.
